Thank you for the many kind words left here or sent to me by email over the last few weeks. The support of blogging friends is very meaningful to me.
One of the less anticipated after-effects of losing my life's love is the motivation factor. Motivation for everything. Until now, I did not realize the degree to which Ginger provided motivation for everything from washing dishes to pulling weeds to keeping a fire on the hearth to going to work in the morning. She was my raison d'etre. Finding my way without her will involve reordering purpose and motivation in my life. This is nowhere more the case than in the writing I do here at OutsideTheBox. She may not have always been my most avid reader (her life was usually far too practical for my metaphysical wanderings), but Ginger was unquestionably the reader about whose response I cared most.
Thus, returning to the discussions here, which I have missed for these last few months, will not be easy. But it is something I am compelled to do. I hope to post soon on the necessity of grounding Christian faith in natural theology, a statement some might consider self-contradicting. Stay tuned ...

I'm so sorry for your loss Cliff. My prayers are with you and your family.
Beautiful picture, Cliff. I'm sorry I will never meet Ginger in this life, but I still hope to cross paths with you someday.
Still praying,
Dennis
I was meaning to drop you a comment when you first announced your wife's passing. I apologize for not getting to that until now.
I cannot even begin to apprehend how you feel and the difficulty your readjustment has been and will continue to be.
Those of us who comment (albeit not very often in my case I mainly 'lurk') look forward to your return to blogging.
I know that were it my own wife that I would feel likewise -- my wife is the one with all the practical organization and style that I lack. She's a woman of few words and one that if she passed before me would hurt me to my core.
Take all the time you need, Cliff. We'll keep coming back.
agreed mike, and the rest.
